Vibe: a bit touristy but authentically, culturally diverse
What I loved about it: pure excitement of tourists and locals scrabbling for the best food offerings in this huge partially open air market on the sound.

Recipe Inspiration: Pasta with lemon ricotta Sauce

Lemon Ricotta Pasta
with Chargrilled Shrimp

1 lb shrimp
1 T. Brown sugar
Anchovies, smashed
1 clove Garlic, crushed
Juice of 1 lemon
½ cup olive oil
parsley
1 c. ricotta cheese
2 T. olive oil
1 lemon, zested and juiced
1 cup basil leaves, chiffonade
¼ c. pasta water
1 lb. Pasta
Combine brown sugar, anchovies, garlic, lemon juice, and parsley, whisk in olive oil. Add shrimp and let marinate 30 minutes. Grill over hot coals until opaque, about 2 minutes per side, depending on size.
Mix ricotta with olive oil, zest, and juice; add drained pasta on top of ricotta mixture and stir well. Add reserved pasta water if it seems too dry. Sprinkle basil, salt and pepper on top and serve immediately
Serve shrimp on top of pasta.
